The Owners of Offerance Farm Cottage

I work on my wedding hire business as well as looking after our holiday accommodation.  John works as a general Builders whilst looking after things on the farm as there is always plenty of things to do all year round.

We enjoy the simple things in life and love the countryside.  It‘s nice that our guests can experience living on a working farm while enjoying all that the countryside has to offer on our doorstep.

We live in beautiful surrounding that are idyllic, with the sound of lovely bird song in the spring from the skylarks to the sound of cows calling their calves. In the winter we can hear the deer rutting!

Additional information

As we are in a rural location, a car is essential for getting around.  Stirling city centre is a 30 minute drive, Edinburgh city centre is approximately an hours drive and Glasgow city centre is about 40 minute drive.

We are very central to the 3 main cities.  The nearest train station is Milngavie, which is about 25 min drive, with free parking at the station and the trains go direct to Glasgow city centre and elsewhere. If you want to get the train to Edinburgh, it is quicker to catch the train from Stirling. However, the car park isn’t free but there are a few other car parks near the station that only charge a minimal day rate.  The train from Stirling to Edinburgh is about 40 mins.  You  can take the bus through to Edinburgh, but this does take a bit longer.

If you intend to visit some of Scotlands historic places then it might be worth looking at the historic Scotland website (https://members.historic-scotland.gov.uk).  Here you can take a look and decide if its cheaper to buy a membership card which allows you free parking and free entry or a much cheaper entrance fee.
